specially if it's a succulent one and I display it indoors?

It's lovely. Could you have it as a table centre-piece until we're past the possibility of it being leftover from Christmas?

NewPantsforaNewYear · 24/01/2017 16:35

Just realised you said you'd have it indoors anyway.

Pandakin · 24/01/2017 17:19

I've always quite liked making wreaths and will do seasonal ones if I have time and can be arsed. Not always flowers and foliage but I love the ones with autumn leaves and berries/nuts best. I am a crafter though and would happily decorate for each season if I could get away with it. Blush

The one you linked to doesn't say Christmas to me, I'd leave it up all year happily.

Wreaths are really popular on Pinterest and crafting groups, it seems to be more so in the USA but is popping up more and more here in the UK. Ribbon wreaths and ones made with some kind of mesh stuff especially on the US sites.

SilverDragonfly1 · 24/01/2017 17:28

That's really nice. Can't see any problem putting it up inside! I was imagining flashing lights and tinsel ;)

SexTrainGlue · 24/01/2017 17:37

I hope you're making a donation to the Dogs Trust for nicking their slogan for use in your title.

And yes, wreathed are suitable year round for funerals, whether succulent or nit.

NormansNipple · 24/01/2017 17:46

I like it and I'd put it up inside. It doesn't say funeral to me.

I do still have some of my Christmas lights up though. I have renamed them winter lights and they're staying up til the weather gets better. They cheer me up.

Do what makes you happy Smile

I like that bowl of fake hydrangeas.

CleverQuacks · 24/01/2017 18:32

You paid £74 for a wreath?!?! At that price I would ensure it was up all year round!!!

Twinchaos1 · 24/01/2017 18:40

I think this is a lot more common in the states, but if you like it have it. Start a trend where you are.

TowerRavenSeven · 24/01/2017 18:51

US here too and have a wreath up all year round, I change it with every holiday/season. Just about everyone else do too. Makes a house look welcoming.

MandyFl0ss · 24/01/2017 19:40

CleverQuacks I know right??!!!!! That's precisely my point! Grin
Anyway I ended up paying about £50 because of a discount offer but still... Honestly though, worth every penny.

I have a wreath in my downstairs toilet. It was on the door for the festive season, I took it down and put it in there to dry off before picking off the greenery. However I am terminally lazy and its still there, intact. It looks very sad now.

wowfudge · 24/01/2017 19:48

I've seen them called 'welcome rings' in the US and in different colours and designs for different seasons and holidays.

cariadlet · 24/01/2017 21:46

I took my Christmas decorations down weeks ago, but have left the wreath on the front door because it's still looking really nice. I haven't left one up before, but it seems a shame to chuck it when it's still so healthy.

I expect the postman thinks that I've just gone a bit senile and forgotten about it.
