To want children to stop playing ball games outside....

The sound of the ball bouncing causes anxiety...they kick the ball on the building, fence, window. Anyone else experiencing the same problem I've tried to resolve the issue but no joy.
There's a park not far away....
I guess sometimes we have to accept...I just want to live in peace.I know their children but that damn ball!
They could be out early or very late....

YANBU to want them to not kick the ball against your property.

User, if it was such an non-issue the kids would be kicking the ball against the wall or fence of one of their own houses, but isn't it funny that very, very few ever do. Hmm

Yes to phoning 101, it is very anti-social behaviour. We know of a family who are moving house because they've got so sick of this very thing. Sad

User you're just being deliberately provocative. Unless you are incredibly closeted you must realise that most boys don't choose between balls and screens. You may know a few that do but common sense would tell you that it's not universal. So really it's a silly point to make and you can't be surprised that other people call you out.

I am paid per word so tend to keep it to the point.
I object to sexist stereotyping.

Yes there is. The police stopped our neighbour's kids doing it as it was anti-social

I think you mean the police asked the parents to stop them. Which they did, although they didn't have to.They couldn't make them, there is no way to force them to do it. Anti-social? Kids playing together outside is very social Hmm

Like I said, no law against playing ball. And it has nothing at all to do with the parents imagination. Some of us want our children to be outside, playing with their friends. It's you who lacks imagination if you can't see the many benefits of that.

It's illegal to play balls games in the street if it causes a nuisance to other road users.

Also an antisocial behaviour dispersal order can be given by the police requiring them to leave the area for 48 hours if it's considered antisocial.

I guess a good police response would be to discuss with parents first but if it's ignored and repeated they'd presumably take it further.

I'm resurrecting this thread as I'm getting irritated by the little sh1ts banging a ball against stuff outside including my wheelie bins, my front door, my car and my neighbours fence panels, so I decided to google what could be done 🤣

This seems to be a new thing they've decided to do this year so hopefully they'll get bored of it soon...
