... to bake my fishcakes instead of frying them?

So a friend has given me her recipe for fishcakes which she insists are the BEST ever.
I love a good fishcake, I really do, but am frequently disappointed in bought ones, so thought I would give hers a go since they are so recommended.

The recipe says to fry them, but to be honest, I can't be arsed.
Lots of ready made fishcakes are ovenbake rather than fry.

Is there a difference between a cake made for frying and one made for baking?
Thanks for any advice

Nah , bake them . id spray some oil on the baking tray first though

I bake mine. I use one of those plasticy baking sheets so they don't stick.

I've got some of those teflon non stick sheets.
All the ingredients are already cooked before making up the fishcake so I'm gueseing maybe 15 minutes in a really hot oven to make sure the outside crisps up. Maybe 200 degrees?

The difference is the bought ones are coated with oil and slightly cooked before freezing. I'd fry them! Mmm.

Duh!
I've just rechecked the recipe and it does give oven instructions!
220C for 25 mins turning once.
My friend said she always fried them so I didn't check right to the end
