Just cooking supper and put three teaspoons of ground cinnamon with the onions rather than cumin. Angry

Am I doomed, should I just chuck it or is it salvageable?

Just to say that a friend once made a cake with mixed herbs instead of mixed spice.

It looked horrible and tasted worse. Thought it might make you feel better to know you are not alone ;)

I was going to say tagine, and then saw it was 3 teaspoons. That's a LOT of cinnamon. I'd rinse or chuck and start again.

YABU just for the fact you said supper when you clearly meant to say tea.
Supper's toast and milk before bed. misses point of thread

Cinnamon regularly goes in Greek cooking. You could save it and make that Greek feta and spinach pastry. Spanakopita!

SenoritaViva · 16/01/2017 19:17

@glitterazi not in my house! Tea is sandwiches/toast and cake!

A good chilli has cinnamon in. Go for it.

Should be fine - I always put a bit of cinnamon in bolognaise or chilli.
Also braised cabbage has onions, apples, and cinnamon in.

Actually I'd be more worried about 3 tsp of cumin in a dish - how many are you serving?!
