To just want one spontaneous labour?!

Aaaarggh I'm desperate to experience going into labour without being induced!!! 39+5, other two were induced because they were very overdue, and they were very big babies too....had a sweep on Friday just gone, had lots of bloody gunky stuff all weekend, niggles, amounted to nothing!!!! Reluctant to go the full 2 weeks overdue due to huge baby.....I'm at my wits end 😞 I am huge, everyone keeps ASKING me have I not had the baby yet?! Yes sorry I've left him at home this is a cushion up my top!

I've tried bouncing, walking, spicy stuff, nipple stimulation, sex etc etc and nothing works.

I don't know why I'm stressing so much as not even due until Wednesday but I just want so badly for this labour to start on it's own.....

I'm due Wednesday too! Previous 2 DCs were both overdue and I narrowly avoided induction by 1 day with the last one. Haven't much useful advice though sorry!

I won't have my first sweep until 25th Sad and my daughters birthday is early Feb so I'm hoping it'll arrive before then so there's a decent gap between birthdays!

Good luck, will keep my fingers crossed for you!

All my babies were born at 41 +3 (except my twins who were induced at 38wks) That's obviously how long it takes for me to cook a baby. This sounds so hippy dippy, but make sure you've done everything you need to be ready - clean house, fill up car, make sure bag is packed etc and take a quiet moment to relax and tell your baby you're ready. My first DC was an induction, but with the other two I went into spontaneous labour as soon as my Mum had taken my older DC back to hers ready for me to be induced (they lived a couple of hours away so I was a bit worried about them getting there in time). It could probably be coincidence, but I always felt my body knew it was 'safe' for the baby to come then.

Ive had 2 fairly quick inductions. If we have a third i think i will insist on regular sweeps tc and refuse.

Sympathies OP, I've only had one and she was born 42+6 by c-section after failure to progress. I reckon she was stuck and I'd have been one of those old ladies with a petrified foetus had modern medicine not been able to intervene so while I'm gutted my drug free natural birth and spontaneous labour didn't occur, it's no biggie.
All my (4) sweeps revealed a very long and uncooperative cervix too haha

All of mine were induced. It doesn't matter, it's a safe birth and a healthy baby which matter.
