I will tell my dh I'm doing such and such. Put it in the calender. Will remind him on the morning of. Then when I'm getting ready to leave it's always 'where are you going?'. I'll explain again. Then he'll act perplexed, like I've said I'm packing up to join the circus. Every. Bloody. Time.

He forgets to feed our dogs.
We have had them for over 3 years.

And I know he does coz 1 will jump up at the utility window looking at her doggy watch. Then dh looks all indignant when I ask if he has fed them yet!

Stingray2008 · 10/01/2017 17:09

Leaving crap everywhere it does my head in.

jimijack · 10/01/2017 17:09

Eats spam, yes spam, fucking disgusting spam, cooks it and everything.

Didn't wipe down kitchen surfaces.

Steps over shite that is on the stairs waiting to go upstairs.

WALKS PAST THE COAT HANGER BY THE FRONT DOOR TO PUT HIS COATS/JACKETS ON THE BACK OF MY GOD DAMNED FUCKING DINING ROOM CHAIR....EVERY BASTARD DAY.

Ha. You also are married to my husband yes? I sat on the floor to eat dinner once in protest. He didn't do it again.

PointlessUsername · 10/01/2017 17:16

Never washes up what he has used.

Noisy eating.

stumblymonkey · 10/01/2017 17:16

He cuddles up to me in bed when I wish he'd stick to his own bloody side so I can sleep properly

He doesn't ever clean the kitchen surfaces as he goes

He doesn't sort out skidders in the loo which is a bit gross for me and a bit embarrassing if I forget to check before visitors come over

He leaves opened packets of meat and poultry in the fridge even though I've asked him to put cling film over them

His good points massively outweigh his bad points though and TBH I probably have more annoying habits than he does!

SadTrombone · 10/01/2017 17:16

'Tidies' things away.
Important bills / receipts / paperwork / a gift voucher for a fancy restaurant / a winning scratchcard...
...then no recollection of where they have been 'tidied' to...

SadTrombone · 10/01/2017 17:17

"He leaves opened packets of meat and poultry in the fridge even though I've asked him to put cling film over them"

^this

Purplebluebird · 10/01/2017 17:18

My other half forgets everything I tell him about plans or arrangements! Then he admits to not listening, but gets annoyed at me -.-
He also slurps hot drinks, and gawd it's so annoying! :P I love him to bits though.

MadJeffBarn · 10/01/2017 17:19

sad my dh does this too. It drives me absolutely insane, especially when he has no recollection of even tidying it
Oh so the kids moved it all then did they?

Leaves his wet towel whereever he finishes with it...on the floor, on the bed, on the kitchen counter.

Does NOT open the blinds. Often he starts work at 11am and I'm out the door with the dc at 7.45am, when it's still dark-ish so haven't opened them yet. I get home from work at 5 and the blinds are all still closed and have been all day.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 10/01/2017 17:19

Breathing at the moment.

But I have raging pmt at the moment so may not feel like this by the weekend... No guarantees though.

LuluJakey1 · 10/01/2017 17:21

Not enough space to list them but he's a love and has many good points.

Lottapianos · 10/01/2017 17:22

Yes to never knowing where I'm going or what our plans are despite being told a million times

Running off about ten gallons of water before filling one glass

Blaring the radio like he's trying to wake the dead

Leaving cupboard doors open

Not being able to look properly for anything - looks for 5 milliseconds then says 'i cant find it'Angry

Mauling me as soon as I get in with hugs and kisses and 'how was your day?!'. All I want to do is get my coat off first and put my bag down

He is super lovely though and I'm sure I annoy the living hell out of him every day

Arrowfanatic · 10/01/2017 17:41

Never ever ever ever does the things I've asked him too. "DH can you get xxxx item out the garage" "yep, I'll do it later" later never comes. 2 days later "DH, please can you go and get xxxx out the garage now" "I said I'd do it later, stop nagging me" a week now I've been waiting (I can't reach where it is) and he's back to work tomorrow so job won't get done.

We lift youngest DD to pee at 9pm, every single night that he goes up to bed at 9pm (when he's on earlies) I come up shortly after "have you taken DD to wee?" "Oh no, sorry" every Goddamned time.

"Can you put the dishwasher on whilst I'm put please dh" "yep no problem" come back dishwasher not on "sorry arrow I forgot"

Tell him to leave me the car on xxx day as I have an appt, remind him the night before, get up the next morning to find he's taken the car. I swear next time I'm hiding the car keys.

EmmaWoodlouse · 10/01/2017 17:50

Sounds strange but the most unusual annoying thing about my DH is there's a piece of music he often hums or whistles - very well known classical piece - and he always gets the tune slightly wrong! I've explained it to him loads of times and played the CD but he just can't seem to hear the difference.

KatharinaRosalie · 10/01/2017 17:54

When driving and literally around the corner he must start fiddling with the car radio to find a song that he likes. Always at the corner from where we have less than a minute to drive, and he scrolls through entire station list. Why?? We won't have time to listen to more than a few notes of anything. Drives me nuts.

CakesRUs · 10/01/2017 17:54

I've been with my husband for 31 years and I don't know how we've got that far with him snoring as he does, getting worse with age, he does go off into the spare room if he's had a drink and knows he's going be reaching supersonic sound levels, which is great. He also narrates what he's doing when he's concentrating on a task, which makes me feel like he's talking to me and I need to respond, but actually, he's just talking to himself. It must drive his work colleagues crazy if he's like that at work (I've told him this, to which he answered "hmmm, I suppose so").

OrcinusOrca · 10/01/2017 17:55

He doesn't rinse out mugs or glasses when leaving them to wash up later.so they get sticky spots in the bottom. It's about all I can think of to be fair!

chloesmumtoo · 10/01/2017 17:57

Yes to wet towel left on bed and to not staying on his side of bed during night. Waking up to his snoring when his nose is firmly pressed under my pillow! Farting when I am waking behind him in shops blurgh. Finding his socks always in his pants like mini legs Grin
Emma my dp has a bad habbit of singing ba ba blacksheep Confused our kids are teenagers so no excuse for it, if its not that then its a hum that sounds like 'here comes the bride'

Nquartz · 10/01/2017 17:57

Not looking for something properly (I can always find it instantly) & 'tidying' stuff away aka putting lots of things in one pile, never actually sorting anything out

user1470997562 · 10/01/2017 18:01

He's developed an annoying cough. Only it's not a cough it's a sort of growl. It's peculiar and embarrassing.

He'll empty and fill the dishwasher but never, ever wipe the surfaces.

When he goes to the supermarket on his own or with dc (I know because I've asked) he behaves perfectly normally. When he goes with me, he launches loudly into an embarrassing song which makes everybody stare at us.
