Firstly I am not even sure I would be a candidate, I am slim like properly skinny, I am size 6 - 8 and I could never tell anyone in RL because they would think I was mental because you can't really tell when I am clothed. So for that alone I feel daft even going for a consultation in case they laugh at me

BUT I hate the way I look naked. I have had 3 dc all by section the youngest is almost 3 and I just have this little pouch, the c section shelf that will not fuck off no matter how thin I get and how many planks I do! And I do a LOT So I want to know please.......

how much does it hurt?

where would the scar be? would it be the same place as the section scar?

where did you go?

how much did it cost?

what was the recovery like?

and of course, what were the results like?

thanks in advance xxx

Good luck Sail!

Well, I had mine on Thursday. In bed now, I've been getting up to walk a bit, which hasn't been too bad. I was sent home with a catheter and drains which I was nervous about, but DH removed the catheter today with no problems. Post op visit and drain removed this Monday.

As for the results..,I havent even looked!

Watching this, I was a size 6-8 and 8st before I had my DD, by the end of my pregnancy I was 13.5st. I too had a section and I've got that wonderful shelf ☹️.
That was 16 months ago, I'm size 10 and 10st and I feel awful. I still need to lose about a st, I was hoping that by working out (planks etc) I'd get rid of my pooch but by the looks of it that's probably not going to happen.

I'd have one like a shot. My belly is stretchmarks from public bone to bra line. I've got a nasty hanging flap. I'm fat now and it overhangs my knickers. As I lose weight it just gets lower. Surgery is the only way I'll lose it. At least now I know how much to save up! Wink

Awww Hurty. Sorry to hear you feel so bad. It's so shit what pregnancy and childbearing does to our bodies (well most of ours ...there are the lucky few that escape it jammy bitches )

Planks do help flatten your belly a bit though so do keep doing them. X

Glad your op went ok Sail and you're recovering well . Let us know how it looks after! X

Let me know how it all goes OP, I'm due to give birth vaginally in April & then to lose 7 stone &! Finally have a T/T.

Would love to know where you go, how painful it it & importantly how expensive!

Softkitty2 · 29/01/2017 17:59

If you are slim maybe you should try a liposuction first before a tt... See a consultant first.. There are so many procedures now thats less invasive than a tt..

RocketQueenP · 29/01/2017 19:12

Yeah see I have thought that about lipo as less invasive and also cheaper, but I would still be left with the skin I would imagine

Quark good luck with the birth and well done on planning to lose all that weight x

Can I ask....my tummy skin is all stretch marked and my belly button is stretched too. Can that be fixed? I had twins and it ruined me. I hate how I look naked even though I'm a size 10.

RocketQueenP · 29/01/2017 21:53

Yeah my friend had that after 4 big dcs. She had a full tummy tuck and they stretched out the stretch marks and gave her a new belly button. She now has the tummy of a skinny 12 year old Envy

Well I am 6 days out. Had one drain removed but the other one will stay in until Friday. I am all puffy and swollen, of course, and wearing a medical-grade compression binder, but already there appears to be quite a difference Grin. I actually took a few photos of myself before we went to the hospital and I was shocked at how big and droopy I looked from the side. Yowser. I certainly have more weight to lose (about 25lbs) but I think this is the shot in the arm that I needed.

RocketQueenP · 01/02/2017 18:53

Oh that's great so glad to hear it x

You sound like an ideal candidate. It's basically an operation to get rid of excess skin, if you have excess fat you need to lose that first really, you've done that already. Mine cost about £5k 4 years ago. It's well worth it if you want to love your body again. Scar will be in the same place as c-sec (they'll cut that scar out) but it will be longer, hip to hip. It fades to barely noticeable though.

Hey! My sister did Tummy tuck procedure from a clinic in Scarborough. She had been suffering from overweight and bulged belly after her delivery. She was so worried that her husband would lose interest in her. She has tried doing workouts but didn’t find any noticeable change. Then, we decided to go for tummy tuck. Like you, she was also in a dilemma whether she is a candidate for tummy tuck or not. When I searched, I came across a blog explaining how to know if you are a candidate for tummy tuck procedure( www.sliwinplasticsurgery.com/blog/tummy-tuck/how-to-know-if-you-are-a-candidate-for-a-tummy-tuck/ ). This article helped her in taking a decision. I guess it would help you to find the answers that you are searching for. Good luck.
