Is Costco worth it?

My husband loves Costco beef, I was only there once. I dont know if it was cheaper than Waitrose, it doesnt have everything we need though. Plus the annual fee, any of you is a Costco member and do you find the annual fee is worth it. We mostly get stuff online so I am against going to another supermarket. AIBU that I told him that I dont think its worth the hassle(shop in another super market) and cost(annual fee membership)

Can anyone tell me what job you have to have to join? I'm on dh's company trade membership but thought anyone could join as an individual.

We go every 4/6 weeks. DH is self employed, hence we qualify, not sure what proof he had to provide. Costs about £26 pa.

Worst problem is storage as sometimes quantity is quite large, so our airing cupboard is full of loo rolls and the tops of our cupboards are stuffed with kitchen roll and boxes of Kleenex tissues.

Their Kirkland own brand is really good quality.

We buy:

Loo roll (Andrex)
Kitchen roll (Kirkland brand is really good)
Kitchen foil (Kirkland again, heavy duty and lasts ages)
Kleenex tissues
Tinned tomatoes
Coconut milk
Pasta
Rice
Ketchup
Coffee pods
Lenor
Persil liquid
Dishwasher tabs
Cillit Bang
Hummus
Cheese - Parmesan and Roquefort, their selection packs are also good
Pancetta chunks
Pine nuts
Walnuts
Panettone (excellent value when available)
Frozen prawns
Pork fillet (amazing value and quality)

The monthly seafood stand is a great treat.

Even after 3 years, I'm still finding new goodies, I probably need to look closer at the meat, but I have limited freezer space.

I would certainly use the charcuterie for large family gatherings.

I think it's good value for store cupboard staples, but you do have to be disciplined.

Thanks HeCantBeSerious. Dh is banned from Costco as I usually stick whatever useless stuff he buys straight in the bin.

If our teens ever have house parties it's great for alcohol/sweets etc. Toilet/kitchen rolls, bin liners, kitchen foil, fresh fruit (apart from rotten berries) all worth going for as superior quality along with much more.

My first choice would be a Whole Foods but Costco is great once a month in addition to regular shop.

Just set up a non active company, get the paperwork or letterhead done get your Costco membership and carry on with your normal job.

Love Costco. Have executive membership that is nearly free at end of the year with voucher. Meat and cheese is very good quality at Costco. Their spray cream is nice. The danish pastries/chocolate granola squares and tiramisu cake is very yummy. Love their mac n cheese bites, spinach filo pie and their chips are nice. Good value for pet food, paper towels/ toilet rolls. Big jars of cashew nuts. Lots of stuff, easy to over spend in there.
Outside their ginormous pizza slices and refill drinks are so cheap. It's worth it imo.

Love it.

Their Coastal cheese is lovely.

I buy

Bagels - their bagels are lovely!
Cheese - Coastal, Philadelphia, sliced
Hummus
Cakes - love the carrot cake

San Peligrino (sparkling water)

Washing tabs
Calgon

Bags - grip close
Loo rolls
Paper towels

Wrapping paper
Note pads
Marker pens

Toffee vodka

When renovating - all kinds of stuff.

My freezer is too small, when I get the new one I'll I'd be buying all kinds of frozen things.

I'm not a fan of their fresh fruit/veg at my local store.
