AIBU to present you with a mystery box and not open it?

Today I recieved a parcel from a nc relative who doesn't seem to have quite got the message. Every year I get a passive aggressive christmas card which I duly ignore. Now I have a box. I've been informed by another relative it's a birthday gift. Do I open it? Send it back?

Shame it's too late for you to refuse to accept it from the delivery person.
I think if you cross out your address, and put 'return to sender, not known at this address' on it, and return it UNOPENED to the post office, they will return it, free of charge.
I understand everyone's curiosity, but think you'd do better to send it back, really.

Generally I think the advice with NC relatives is to return the present unacknowledged

But I really, really want to know what's in it, so please open it!

A relative we are low contact with bought us a present which is completely batshit crazy. Utterly mad. Knowing what it is confirmed our decision to be LC!

Tell your relative to not report back your personal business and if they do tell NC relative to fuck the fuck off with the post?! (Know it's not easy... had to do this with our inbetweener relative trying to make things OK between us all)
