Mundane title I know RIGHT?
I recently decided to return an item I bought from my local Avon rep (who is also my friend.) Now she told me AVON had a 28 day returns policy. Ive only had the item for 13 days, so I thought great, I have time to return it.
I contacted her today and was told that I should have given it back straight away as her next Courier pick up is the 13th of Jan and that would be too late. AIBU to call their head office to arrange a return that way but I don't want to get my friend in trouble. Are there any AVON reps out there who can advise?

Normally I wouldn't be bothered as it was only £12 but im now the sole breadwinner of the family and were counting every single penny. Help!!!

Im an Avon rep. I think she doesn't understand the process , as a pp said she can claim the return online now and then send the item back with the courier on the 13th . As she is fairly new I'm assuming she doesn't understand rather than she is lying to keep the sale. She needs to get her leader to explain it to her.

Actually my mistake looking a bit further into Avon returns policy it would appear Sales Reps can do as they please (mental note to avoid Avon) I would still contact Avon as it does reflect badly on them

MsVestibule · 03/01/2017 19:59

Any rep could return it for you it doesn't have to be your 'friend'
Sorry JMH, this isn't the case, but your next sentence is correct!

CrochetQueenfromCoventry · 03/01/2017 20:02

Oh dear Have I misspelled Crochet? Sorry user1483468959 wasn't very inspired. I do quite enjoy Crochet, you should try it!!
Thanks MsVestibule

Hasn't Avon in recent years decided to use the pyramid business model/become an MLM?

I've been an Avon rep for about four years and there is absolutely no pressure to sign anybody up.

Monkey where have you read that sales reps can do as they please WRT returns?!

MsVestibule · 03/01/2017 20:06

Ha ha, not at all, just thought you'd temporarily name changed in case your friend recognised the situation and then used your regular user name by accident 😀.

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2017 20:08

I don't think you've misspelled crochet... hope it's just an Avon newbie mistake and not a cheeky money move

kali110 · 03/01/2017 20:09

I agree slightly jmh says that your point of care is with the rep, not avon.
IHad a problem with an order once and contacted them and they stated they were sorry but i had to speak to the rep as it was to do with them, not avon!

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2017 20:09

Lol x post. Your baby's didn't translate text. Happens to me too often.

jmh740 · 03/01/2017 20:22

I very been a rep 10 years I have returned plenty of things people have bought from other reps and would be happy to return the ops item if she was local.

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2017 20:25

Bants not baby's!

MsVestibule · 03/01/2017 20:39

I really don't understand how you manage that as you wouldn't have access to her Avon rep's account but I won't quiz you further on the thread as it's not that fascinating for everyone else!!

jmh740 · 03/01/2017 20:50

You just ring avon and ask them to process a return for an item sold by another rep and they credit the money to your account and you give the customer the refund. it doesn't have anything to do with the original seller avon don't know who has sold the item originally.
