To be irritated by this tea towel

I just bought a couple of tala tea towels as they match the baking stuff that we use. When I unfolded the pack one of them is a woman holding a cake with the caption 'the joy of achievement '

Wtf are tala thinking? Women are measured by so much more than baking a bloody cake ffs and we don't need this kind of sexist claptrap.

But you are a woman, and you do bake cakes, and you have just bought tea towels, And you have just bought tea towels specifically so they match your bakeware, and presumably when you bake you want to achieve something nice at the end of it. Are you just annoyed they have used your image on their product?

If it was my image I'd be delighted, I'm anything but slender! As it happens, I don't do any baking but my teenage son does.

But the tea towel isn't measuring her worth by how nice the cake she has baked is. It's saying that she feels like she's achieved something, which she has. I have the same feeling after finishing a bloody sudoku, but that has nothing to do with how I'm perceived.

You are the one suggesting that her worth is measured by the cake. And I'm not sure why.

Why do you feel a woman shouldnt be proud when she has made something?

Or can she only be proud if its something thats percieved as 'manly'?

I feel like it's an achievement when I get the cake out in one go because I've followed the instructions on the box for once so this wouldn't bother me.
