To have chips with Brie and gravy?

And maybe some jalapeƱos?

Dh reckons it sounds disgusting. I reckon it sounds epic. We have hardly any food in the house until tomorrow so it's all Christmas leftovers.

AIBU? And if not that, what else do you suggest for lunch that isn't boring old cheese and crackers?

Hmn.

How ripe is the Brie?

HardLightHologram · 29/12/2016 12:37

Really ripe and squishy and stinky.

Sounds like a posh poutine!!

Oh gosh... Poutine! Maybe the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. Blush

I went to the chippy off the back of this thread. Bloody lovely it was.

M0nkington · 29/12/2016 14:16

Yup
Poutine never eaten it myself but loads of Canadians where I am go mad for it! YANBU

GeekyWombat · 29/12/2016 14:45

Chips, melted cheese and gravy is definitely big in Canada (from memory it's called Poutine).

You're just giving it a European twist and YADNBU. (When I had it for me it fell into the 'food so wrong it's right' category. Enjoy!)

That1950sMum · 29/12/2016 14:48

Cheese and gravy?

Are you insane?

MakeItStopNeville · 29/12/2016 14:50

Poutine is hangover food of the Gods.

RJnomore1 · 29/12/2016 14:55

I had poutine for the first time ever yesterday.

I can die happy now.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 29/12/2016 15:02

You must now eat all the leftover Quality Street for pudding Grin. You know, the ones that no one likes, the Orange creams and the rock hard toffees.

HardLightHologram · 29/12/2016 15:06

I'm actually laying on my bed with the dog, watching tv and working my way through a giant Toblerone.

I am seriously living the dream today. Grin

I'm not sure. Were the chips underneath the gravy or just to dip them in? I hate soggy chips so all sauces and gravies have to be strictly on the side.

bowchikkawowwow · 29/12/2016 15:11

YABVU not to add sprouts to the mix.

PuntasticUsername · 29/12/2016 17:20

How in the hell have I never thought to grate mozzarella on chips and pour gravy over?!

I'm not kidding, this is going down in the Top 10 All Time Most Brilliant Things I've Ever Learned From Mumsnet.

Pukepukepuke · 29/12/2016 17:27

I eat everything and that looks RANK. I take my hat off to you for food bravery though x

HardLightHologram · 29/12/2016 17:41

Puntastic, the pre grated mozzarella is even better...
