Family member wearing jeans with rip in crotch

Would this bother you? A make family member of mine when at home (his own home) wears what he calls "work jeans". He's a mechanic and these jeans are grotesque. Filthy, ripped. The thing that bothers me is there is such a huge rip in the crotch it's almost as if one leg is hanging off. Today he was sitting in an armchair wearing them with his legs stretched apart, leg and underpants on show for all to see.

I've said to him they're very badly ripped and does he need to get some new ones and he replied that he had new ones and they are his work ones. He doesn't seem to care but I find it disrespectful and quite gross. Is this something that would bother you or would you just think he can do what he wants in his own home?

I wouldn't be impressed if the jeans are filthy.

And I'd be inclined to grab a ripped area and rip it a lot bit more.

:o This reminds me of my teenage years when we had an acquaintance who only ever wore oner pair of trousers - vile green tracksuit bottoms with a yellow stripe, full of holes especially around the crotch, and nothing underneath He wasn't the most well-washed person either. Sat in the pub, bollocks would frequently be on show.

At least it's not that bad!
