To not book any extra activities at Center Parcs?

We are taking our dog, we love swimming and kids will be in the pool all day if I let them. I've looked at the extra activities and nothing really appeals excessively, especially not in January, outdoors.

Am I missing a trick though? I just see it as three chilled out days away and lovely forest to walk the dog in - live in a city so not too much of that here. My ex H asked "well what's the point of going there then?"

Well just to relax.

Nope. Just do what you enjoy. I like having the bikes, but agree the pool is the main attraction.

I've booked a few sessions with baby ahead of time, so that I could spread out paying for them. Or if they looked like they would be really popular. But not really found them brilliant to be honest.

I'm not a spa sort of person. Don't find it that enjoyable. The treatments however are great and I'd recommend those!

Soft tennis, indoor wall climbing, badminton, roller disco thing, crazy golf, mine love them all.
Bit boring to just go swimming

Might book a cabana - thanks for that suggestion 😊

We are there in January and have only booked one water thing. We will be in pool rest of time. Was cheap weekend because term time :-)

Whatslovegottodo · 27/12/2016 11:58

The sports hire is good fun and doesn't need pre booking in quiet times. Indoor tennis, badminton, table tennis etc.

Ds and I have just come back from pre Xmas break.
He did junior quads, woodland wheelers and street karts as well as aqua jetting. It was over the 3 full days we spent there! We also spent lots of time swimming - especially in the rapids in the dark!
We got bikes while there too. Went to Starbucks, the park, watched the fireworks etc.

A few years ago we did summer at different park and Ds did loads of water sports.

But I can certainly see the appeal of booking a term time break and just chilling for a few days!

We did horse riding but other than that took our bikes and used the pool lots!

We never book any activities apart from a suitable bike. There is nothing suitable for him because of his disabilities but he has always been happy with the pool, playgrounds, cycling and just wandering about.

I think I probably would get a bit bored without the sports to be honest but there is plenty you can book last minute when you get there if you want to, table tennis, badminton, land bowls, etc.

GeoCache was good. Can recommend
