Is this the newest Christmas tradition then? Queuing up outside Next at 5am to get 30% off last season's jumper?

Aibu to not want this? I liked it when Christmas was a week-long holiday! Xmas Sad

I worked Next Boxing Day Sales about 16/17 years ago and had to start work at 5am, so not new!
Never understood the fuss. A lot of the stuff in the sale is what they couldn't shift in previous seasons.

Oh I'm sure large shops would open Easter Sunday if they could! Christmas Day and Easter Sunday are banned by law. I don't think Boxing Day Ever was.

The Next sale has been like this for years, even donkeys ago when I worked in retail. Have never understood it.

I went sale shopping yesterday; I buy my perfume for the year on BD when it is reduced. The vacuum that I'd had my eye on for a while was also in the sale with £150 off.

Most people I know who go to the sales do so because they have been watching and waiting for certain items to be reduced - normally big ticket things.

TOAD good for you and your quality time with your mum. What about all the shop assistants and cafe staff in Mand S? What if they wanted quality time with their mums (or other significant people)? How can you be so self centred as not to make that connection, especially when you comment in your own good leave Confused
Rednails I don't think I was rude - plus I was agreeing with a PP so wasn't even the first to suggest misremembering! Take a look at the link Coffee shared and you'll see for most of us Boxing Day sales are pretty recent.
