I can't be the only one!

Lost three stone of baby weight and have become super fit
Bought a house
Had surgery to correct long term health condition
Started learning a new musical instrument
And finally quit the fags, by far my biggest achievement. Was certain I'd never manage. Was sure they'd kill me (that may still happen of course!). The mental relief from this is immense..

What was positive for you?

I don't think you should feel guilty that you have had a good year. Many people who talk about 2016 being a bad year say so because some celebrities have died ( not all people, but people sharing me messaging on FB etc)

I have had a good year, got a new job which has given me confidence and independence after a traumatic end to 2015. I passed my driving test and have taken up yoga and netball whixh I am loving. I have definitely grown as a person this year. The icing on the cake is that DS is completely happy in the special school I spend most of last year desperately fighting for him to get in to.

Settled in well in my new job.
Gained a bit more financial security.
DH, DS and I have been lucky to have no huge health concerns or issues this year.
No major catastrophes or incidents. Just a stable year.
