I mean seriously how could his own parents 'forget' him???

His family are shit. I feel sorry for him. They treat him very unfairly.
Can't bear the sentiment in the first one where he asks "Santa" to forget presents and just bring his family home. He should've wished for them to fuck off until they apologised for scapegoating him.
Wankers.

2 cans of people Grin
Love that.

TapDancingPimp · 21/12/2016 11:55

And Buzz's gf in the picture in the trunk is actually a man dressed up.

Genuinely glad to read this, I always felt very sorry for that girl when I thought of her watching that scene! Grin

Bloody hell, the parents called their child KEVIN, of course they are going to be crap parents.

Seriously has anyone here ever considered calling a child Kevin?

EveOnline2016 · 21/12/2016 12:14

With the blow torch scene it would be impossible for any one to survive it. The skull would have cracked and brain dried.

TheWitTank · 21/12/2016 12:51

Considering the phones are repaired (Kevin rings for a cheese pizza) did his parents not think to keep trying to call beyond the once at the airport?! Or to call the police again for an update? Grin I love Home Alone.

Watching it with my kids, I am always shocked at the level of violence meted out to the criminals. I'm afraid to say the first time we watched it together I gave a running commentary along the lines of "a blow to the head that hard could cause a serious head injury or death... Oh no, those are really serious burns... A fall like that could break someone's back!" I just couldn't believe how much the film trivialised the violence & injuries. I've known people who suffered life changing injuries with less, so I wanted my kids to understand its important not to underestimate the risks. They watched it again earlier this week (without commentary by me) and commented on what a nasty film it was.

Bet you are a barrell of laughsGrin

Not only do they forget him, his dad doesn't even appear to give a shit once the mistake is realised. I would be beside myself but he's really not arsed about it.

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 21/12/2016 13:23

I thought they are in shock bordering on hysteria:

funnily enough, we never forget our luggage
Cop gives them The Hard Stare

Is it wrong that that's my favourite scene?Xmas Wink

Although the Donald Drumpf cameo being changed to grab em by the pussy is...as obscure as the cameo itself. He used to to a lot of cameos, did Donald.

I find the comic violence hilarious. Especially when Marv steps on the baubles Grin although I fast forward through the bit where he steps on the nail. I have a real thing about feet and it makes me feel quite sick watching that bit

dustarr73 · 21/12/2016 15:06

Ah poor Kevin,to forget him once is awful but wouldnt you think they be more careful the next time they leave the house.

TapDancingPimp · 21/12/2016 18:02

The end scene where 'Old Man Marley' is reunited with his son and family has me in tears every time without fail.

Markd1969 · 18/12/2019 16:49

Actually we do not know there was any plain pizza to begin with. Buzz claims he ate it all but that was a minute after the pizza even arrived. Chances are there was no plain pizza and Buzz just used the opportunity to claim he ate it all.
