Squint Christmas lights on my house

I have spent a week getting mildly irritated by the fact everyone's houses have perfectly, straight symmetrical lights on their homes creating an aura of Christmassy perfection. While mine look like they have been erected by drunken cat who is afraid of heights.
I have just snapped and demanded DH straighten them. AIBU?
This is what Christmas is about, surely.

I don't know but I definitely want to decorate my table with pineapples for Christmas Day. The look on MIL's would be priceless.

I cba with christmas decorations apart from a small, fake tree with pine cones and lights on (and for some bizarre reason, a penguin made from tin this year).

I am going to buy pineapples tomorrow. Pineapples will be my Christmas offering

I will post a pic of said penguin tomorrow. I'll have a tantrum in sainsburys if there are no pineapples and tell them that they have ruined Christmas.

And I think somebody has just called DH common... for sending animal charity Christmss cards, and being a vulgar uni lecturer. I feel so English 🎉🎉😹

I'll ask DH if we can use pineapples for our New Year's Eve party (I suggest the answer will be no...😖)
