DH thinks I'm a psycho but throwing them away feels a bit wrong.

Well obviously you're not the only one, but I'm with your DH. Bizarre and gross!

I remember little plastic treasure chests that my mum kept my baby teeth in, I think they came out of a cracker and they looked like this. I kept the bracelet and umbilical cord tag from DS's birth.

I have teeth from DTs (they're all.mixed up so God knows which ones belong to each DS). I might make a neckace like one of those candy ones.

I have a more disturbing tale, though. Forget locks of hair, this keepsake would make Edward and Tubbs proud.....

when my DTs were born I read about somebody keeping their baby's umbilical scab. I'd thrown mine away (naturally) and then read the post. I made DH wade through loads of shitty nappies in bin liners to retrieve the putrid things.

Years later, when sorting through a keepsake box I found some kitchen towel. It was caked in some crispy black stuff - the dried cords.

MyWineTime is right. They could save your child's life in the future. They contain stem cells that can grow into any kind of tissue, from heart cells to brain cells, and repair damaged tissue.

They do have to be preserved properly though, a silver tooth pot won't work!
