While I walk literally 200 yards to the post office round the corner to get gas and avoid a tantrum?
Obviously I know I am but it'd make it so much easier to do... ugh 😑

When I was 4 my mum went out and left me and 18 month old and newborn sisters.
Baby was on blanket in front of fire which caught fire, I took my sisters to next door flat and I remember my mum walking up the communal stairs to find firemen milling about.
We were put into foster care after that.

There there OP, I promise there is an end in sight. Just have some more of that gin and yes, go on, give some to your toddler too, never did Oliver Twist the Artful Dodger any harm did it?

Did you have the forethought to retain his original packaging? You pop him in that and put him in the wardrobe until you feel like parenting again. Great for those times (extreme but brief) you feel like you don't want to be a mother any more

ben well ysee he was fine dare I say easy for the first 2 years, so me being the gullible cow I am binned the packaging! Now there's no way I can get a refund, I rely on the brief periods of respite when we go to mamas house but she'll not have him overnight by herself will she oh no she knew and didn't think to tell me!

I did once when dd (3) was asleep. Even though I can't have been gone more than 5 minutes the angst it caused me made sure I realised how stupid I'd been. Never again.

They won't take mine back now because the OFF switch doesn't work, and if we try to programme in any instructions we just get a sort of error message thing at maximum volume.

Somewhat off topic but

Put the Christmas tree in a playpen - keep it safe from marauding toddlers and, as a bonus, it doesn't whine to be let out

You could trade him in for a cat...no wait, that's my conditioning talking. Don't get a cat. Do not be fooled by the very misleading promotional blurb that says they're 'easy'. Easy? Ha! At least with a toddler, you can abandon them at a fire station and leave the country. Never get away with that with a cat, you'd be Public Enemy No. 1, front page of the Daily Fail forever.

For next time: "know what I fancy, DS? Bag of sweets. Come on, last one to the shops is a rotten egg." You won't see him for dust if he is anything like mine.

Can you look on your providers website and see if they allow top ups online or via text,
Lots do.

I have a 3yo currently screaming because her cup is the wrong colour and a 4yo whose just announced that he's only pretending to live here he really lives far far away

OP, You really don't want to know. On the plus side though, mthe cat will probably leave home and move in with the childless old lady down the street long before what happens at 5.

I have to wear trainers when out with DS2 (just 3) as he likes to sprint toward roads. People have said "just let him run, he'll stop as soon as he realises you aren't there" - Like hell he does!
And many's the time he has hidden from me in shops - I have to look for the quivering clothes rail as he's ninja good at it but utterly rubbish when we play at home

midnight ha I have the upper hand there, he's a house cat Grin not by choice, we live on the corner of a really busy crossroads and have a main road at the other end of 3 of the roads... he probably hates me more than normal cats 😂

What you need a smart meter, then you can top up at home.

I had one of those chocolate, she didn't even come out when I was calling her nearly in tears! I only found her when the belts she was standing behind moved slightly Angry

She also gave my mum the slip and ran straight into a hairdressers, all the way to the back and mum had to go and retrieve her. She was mortified.

Mine currently wants to live with wolves. I said that would be fine but I have to get a wolf cub in return. Which I think would be easier.

My threenager is 4 on Saturday. Things seem to have escalated in recent months. I'm hoping he's just leaving 3 with a bang and he'll revert back to the lovely little chub he was before he turned 2

I'm very sorry to tell you that it only gets worse. Since starting shool mine has malfunctioned massively. Previously achievable tasks are now either met with I CAN'T DOOOOOO IIIIIITTTTTTT or rolling eyes and stamping feet and huffing. My warranty seems to have expired too. The other day I needed milk. The post office is on the end of our road, approx 100m from our front door. It took nearly two hours to get there....
