Was supposed to have a sofa delivered 11 days ago, nothing showed up on the day (waited in all day with 2 young kids!)...the people in charge of delivery told me the sofa hadn't even been made yet and were surprised loaf hadn't contact me to let me know of the delay?!

11 days later, I've sent them 15 emails, all unanswered, and waited on hold for 2 hours on their phone line before being cut off. So I have no idea what on earth is going on with my sofa, I assume I will have nothing to sit on on xmas day...in fact, I'm starting to wonder if they have simply stolen my money!

Avoid at all costs!!!

ThNks. Bemz is the one I've heard of. I did find a few others via google and also toyed with the idea of making my own!

I find when I get ignored that bombarding their facebook / twitter pages usually elicits a response!

I'm kinda glad I've seen this post (but not that you've had a rubbish time with them) but I've dreamed and drooled of these sofa's because I particularly like a really soft squishy seat to sit on. Too expensive for me so went for a nice DFS one instead but crikey, to find they're so rubbish and the service is so appalling.

BakeOffBiscuits · 19/12/2016 11:11

It says they "are very responsive" to messages on Fb so I'd definitely give that a go OP.

15 unresponded to emails is atrocious.

Feelingworriednow · 19/12/2016 11:23

Don't forget you can reupholster your sofas! My very large 4 seater would be well over £3000 if I bought it new but I've just paid £700 for it to have a complete makeover and it is the bees knees! Double benefit is that I know it fits and the cats can still lounge along the back which of course the point of a sofa in the first place.

Does anyone have the email for the MD etc? Am having a bit of a mare, myself, with this company.

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 13/04/2017 08:48

Ceo is Charlie Marshall, he's on linkedin at least, Google may turn up a direct email too

ThatsNotMyMummy · 13/04/2017 08:54

Oh don't say this I've been looking for a new sofa and finally found one (turns out I'm extremely picky!) it's a loaf one.

Thanks for the heads up.

problembottom · 13/04/2017 10:03

That does sounds appalling.

I'm surprised as I have an extendable dining table and chairs and a set of crockery from Loaf and have always found their customer service really good. The chairs in particular are a thing of beauty!

It's not cheap and so their customer service should be spot on tbf.

Received a delivery of a new sofa from Loaf on 10th March. Shock, horror. The piping was "frilled", stitching was pulling and visible on all seams, edges of cushions were ruffled and threads loose, side of sofa had a big folded pleat . Not one part of the sofa was correctly finished and sitting on it was like being on top of an immovable sand bank. Solid, hard and achingly uncomfortable. Full refund offered but no compensation for large travel expenses, inconvenience and sheer unbelievable cheek for delivering such a total mess to a persons home. I have an empty sitting room and waited since November to have this total mess delivered. An apology and refund insufficient.

Well seeing as this thread is nearly six years old I assume @Cosycottage4 has finally got her loaf sofa. Wonder if it was any good?
