I've still got all of the decorations my kids have bought or made me over the years. I love them. I had a 19 year old girl come back to visit, she was in my form when she was 11 and gave me a lovely snowman. She burst into tears when I showed her I'd still got it. Don't over think it - it is a lovely idea.

Teacher here and homemade gifts are lovely.
