What to buy for teetotal diabetic colleague

I usually buy a token bottle of wine and put in a nice bottle bag for each of my line reports. I don't want to spend lots of time researching a personalised present -so what should I get this (male) colleague.

Chutney contains a huge amount of sugar!

I was going to suggest some nice flavoured black and green teas, but someone else beat me to it...

type 2 here

alot depends on what stage you are at - I am at controlled by diet and exercise - some type 2's also insulin dependant

none personalised, mug with tea or coffee good (although I avoid coffee mostly as caffeine not good for managing blood sugars in some people I happen to be one) But a starbucks ceramic mug and some decent coffee as a treat no problem.

Dark choc is OK in small measure although some people just avoid it all together.

Sounds strange but some really decent socks - diabetics have to be super careful with feet, you can loose feeling and any damage to feet is serious and your feet are checked at GPs regular - decent socks lovely cashmere or mohair etc would be thoughtful if you don't think too personal

tickets to an event

vouchers for somewhere like John Lewis or M&S - about as personal as a bottle of wine, Book voucher

To be honest I would avoid food as how diabetics (type 2) manage their condition is so varying.

I def wouldn't bother with specialist diabetic stuff
