Who should have gone to school?

The kids forgot to tell us about something they needed today, when oh took the kids to school the teacher said we could drop it off at 10:30.

I have fitness classes I do every week, one at 10 and one at 10:30.
Husband is walking the dog.

Who should be going over at 10:30 in your opinion?

OP posts:

Do you teach the fitness classes or do you just participate in them?
Am jealous- wish I could go to fitness classes every day of the week.

I think your DH should go.

AnnPerkins · 14/12/2016 12:42

OP doesn't do fitness classes every day of the week, just every week.

If husband can walk the dog any time then he should drop the stuff off.

KitKat1985 · 14/12/2016 12:43

Well neither reason is massively pressing. On balance I'd say your DH unless there's a reason why he has to walk the dog at that time specifically (e.g, he's got to go to work or an appointment afterwards).

CotswoldStrife · 14/12/2016 12:47

So your DH took them to school this morning, realised they were short of an item and rang you at home so you could drop it off on your way out - as you'd be going to your class at 10.00am? That would seem the easiest option. Either of you could have done it (and I'm assuming that you thought it should be your DH or you wouldn't be asking) but I think it's unlikely that the school required the missing item dropping off at precisely 10.30 so I think it would have been easier for you to drop it off on your way to the class.

Obviously a dog walk is not usually a time-sensitive event by an hour or two and I'm assuming that your DH could make it there and back as there was an hour and a half so either was possible. But not worth falling out over.

What else is he doing other than walking the dog?

I'd have dropped it off on the way to the fitness class, and if they say "oh we asked him not to drop it until 10:30 (and I'll be it was by 10:30 not a precise time) then I'd have done a "stupid man, sorry about that, he didn't tell me that" act.

oh sorry. Well, I still think DH should go. He can walk the dog any time and OP will miss her classes if she goes.

Barefootcontessa84 · 14/12/2016 13:18

I would have thought either of you could do it with pretty minimal effort... just one of you get on with it! If this takes a mumsnet post, how do you deal with actual decisions?!

CotswoldStrife · 14/12/2016 13:24

Hoping the OP comes back and says who took it in the end or if the children missed out!

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot · 14/12/2016 21:38

I was wondering who went, too
