To expect my tree to be here by now?

Bought a Christmas tree from a stall earlier. Paid a fiver for it to be delivered. He said he would come after he had packed up.

It's been pissing it down with rain all day so he can't have had much custom.

He's still not here. It's only me in the house and I just want to have a bath, get into my jammies and chill.

AIBU to expect him to be here by now?

Id wait for tomorrow and then make a fuss, it's a busy time of year.

Did he give you a contact number? I would be tempted to have your bath and hope he waits until your done!
YANBU though. I certainly wouldn't have stopped out selling trees in the rain but I am a wimp.

On what basis do you think he can't have had much custom? It's Christmas, rain or not people will need to buy trees and he needs to sell them - no point holding on to them until January! Perhaps he has a dozen trees to deliver? Unless you agreed a specific time for delivery, then YABU.

Christmas market here doesn't end till 9pm whatever the weather so I wouldn't be expecting much.

IHateAnxiety · 12/12/2016 18:45

No, but he has my number. Maybe a courtesy call would be nice?

It's not a Christmas market. It's literally a guy standing outside a train station. I wouldn't mind waiting until tomorrow, I just wish I knew if he was going to turn up or not.

I've had a shitty day and just want to get cozy in bed tbh. But I guess it's my fault for not asking for an estimation timewise.

He just rang and said he was on his way. Woo hoo! Grin
