To give my toddler breakfast upstairs?

I have two under two and my husband has a new job which means he will be out of the house v early.
At the moment we take it in turns to get ready i.e. DH gets DC1 up & dressed whilst I shower & get dressed, then I get DC2 dressed & both have breakfast whilst DH gets ready. That won't work now.

So, I'm wondering if I should let DC1 eat his breakfast at a little table in his room whilst I have a shower with the baby. They are next door rooms and If I keep the door open I can hear well.

Is this a terrible plan or would it work? DC1 is too young to be left downstairs watch tv and can't manage the stairs by himself...

Shower/bath before bed........?

Total aside , but I'd put baby in their cot while I showered rather than in bouncy chair in bathroom ?

Just because I didn't choke today doesn't mean I won't choke tomorrow. That's a bit of a weird argument OP!

Confused

Just get up earlier and shower before the kids get up.
