Aibu that that everyone has that one song that inexplicably drags them back to a moment (not your wedding song)

Both Sides Now sung by Paul Young and Maire Brennan.

DF was seriously ill. DB phoned to say that DF had pneumonia and didnt have long. I picked up a tape for the drive back to my parents' house. This song came on as I got close to my home town. It was a song from my childhood being sung as I drove back to my childhood home not knowing if DF would still be alive when I got there.

As it turned out DF survived for a couple more days. We nursed him as a family for those last few days.

But it is the song which I remember most clearly and to this day cant hear without remembering that strange drive back to my childhood home.

The Calling - Wherever you may go. It came on the radio on the way to my mum's funeral, and the words sounded like a message to me to keep strong.

Soft Cell - Say Hello Wave Goodbye

Takes me back to my teenage years when it was me and my best pal against the world, and a background of all those angst ridden teenage romances.

R.E.M. man on the moon
Reminds me of jumping on my sisters bed about 6 years old till I fell off and somehow got a massive splinter. It still makes me feel happy and takes me back to being 6.
