No - I agree. Why??

calebsmummy · 17/02/2007 10:42

Dh keeps telling DS2 to grow up, and I keep telling him that at only 4 it's pretty difficult. It drives me insane!!!

He also tells him off for shouting, but shouts himself In fact he seems to think the only way to get any of the 3 boys to do what he wants them to do is by shouting. Not in an aggressive way iyswim, and he certainly isn't nasty to them, but it really grates on me. I try to keep very calm and controlled. I expect the boys to do what I ask, but I get much better results by being calm. Why odes DH not see this? Aaarrgghhh!

It's so silly isn't it. DS2 can be an awkward so and so, but he's 4, most of em are! I think I just understand them much more and totally get why they act in the way they do. DH works away most of the week, so maybe that is why he doesn't, but why won't he listen when I explain what works and what dosn't!

Awful isn't it, to be looking forward to him being away at the weekend

He's playing Snakes and Ladders with DS2 atm, most of the time ok, but occasionally hearing a whiny voice saying 'No, don't do that' and 'stop it DS3' (DH this is) Would be nice if he could just enjoy the game with them, instead of getting cross.

Aaargh he's getting cross with DS3 (2.1) now cos he's trying to play too. FFS, he's 2!!! He doesn't understand!!!! Ah actually now he is being more patient with them and actually showing DS3 what to do...ooh nope spoke too soon!

Seriously, it does make me sad that he can't just enjoy them for who they are. We have 3 lovely boys who are an absolute delight (most of the time) Shouting and yelling just doesn't need to happen....well maybe it does sometimes but not that much!
