That were delivered?

If you paid for this advertised basket?

"Diddl. But it shouldn't be a smaller basket."

No, I know.

That was kind of my point-that it's barely got anything in it as it is.

Even if it was full & smaller you would still have been ripped off.

That's very different!

It's hard to see on my phone - is it possible there's lots of buds? I complained once - and the florist sent another bouquet without questioning it - then the first one burst into bloom and I felt very guilty!!

If not, DEFINITELY complain.

BastardGoDarkly · 07/12/2016 10:07

That looks like half the amount! Send the pic and complain.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 07/12/2016 11:37

Oh dear, that's not right.

I'd just like to update that I contacted the company with my concerns and they were amazing.

I got a reply super quickly followed by an email from the florist himself, who offered me a full refund and also a delivery of a 2nd seasonal vase to my friend next week.

They were professional and very nice about it (I felt a bit awful complaining.)

Well, that's great! And don't feel bad! Its possible the owner had no part in it, and the knowledge may well save his business ☺

altiara · 08/12/2016 17:10

Well done, and don't feel bad for not accepting something that doesn't meet your expectations.

Allthebestnamesareused · 08/12/2016 17:49

I suspect that not many recipients send pictures of what they received to the sender so they thought they'd get away with it and they were caught out.

I send flowers to my Mum (who lives in the US) through a local florist there regularly. She always sends me a picture. It does in general cost more to have flowers delivered and sent there than over here (surprisingly).

As a florist, I'm cringing!! Sending flowers abroad is always difficult and they do have the right to substitute as seasonal availability dictates. The original photo looks like a standard run of the mill generic floral relay sites. The florist has a set list they work to when receiving this order and it's very set. My best advice is to try ask to see the florists own work - they're more likely to use better selection and more flowers. Overall though bouquets seem to have more value as they're quicker over baskets/arrangements.

Working in an interflora in the past, I've created £25 baskets (shop orders) alongside £50 baskets (via relay/website) and they weren't very different! Deffo complain!!

Sparlklesilverglitter · 08/12/2016 18:54

No I wouldn't be happy.

They are not what was advertised and I think they look cheap and hate the basket handle.

Good to see the company where happy to help you OP and put it right
