Human loves me more than his wife

Hi fellow felines! Am looking for advice; my human is so obsessed with me that his wife can barely get a look in. He carries me round like a baby, kisses me and even tucks me up in bed at night under the covers. He actually faces away from her in bed so that he can cuddle me! At first I was pleased we had such a special bond but now I just want him to LTB and be with me 24x7. I am thinking of re-homing the other human and telling him she ran away... Am I being unreasonable?

Yes re-home her. He probably won't notice... Grin

Have you come across the term 'co-dependent'? Perhaps google it if not and then have a think whether this might possibly apply to your relationship to the male human. If it does have resonance then truly you don't have to live this way. There is help out there. You CAN be a cat in your own right without feeling you need this relationship to complete you. You are worth more than this but right now your self-esteem is so low you can't see it. PM me if you need the name of a good therapist.

Also, you don't mention in your post whether this is a same sex relationship or not. It doesn't matter of course but if you haven't felt able to come out of the closet maybe some help in accepting and embracing your sexuality might be useful. You would then be in a better situation to seek out suitable same species felines. There is a lot going on for you it's clear, but you can get through this and come out stronger and more secure in your sense of self.

dailymaillazyjournos · 04/12/2016 05:53

Sorry, same species felines makes no sense whatsoever. Same SEX felines I mean. I don't mean to add to your obvious (and my obvious) confusion.

SlottedSpoon · 04/12/2016 06:25

Another actual LOL here Grin

InfiniteSheldon · 04/12/2016 06:53

Weedsnseeds1 has a very good point can he (dcl:darling cat lover) open the can opener? Going further does he leave the house and return with shopping, does he clean up after you? It may help if you see her (dce:darling cat envier) as more of a servant/slave. I worry for your long term comfort it dcl us in charge of housekeeping and provisions. Speciesist I know but your comfort is paramount here. Definitely stop dce sleeping in the bed that's really not on she needs putting in her place.

I assume this thread is to take the piss out of bigmomma78.

Not very kind. It's a shame when a forum becomes a playground.

QueenOfTheAlley · 04/12/2016 07:04

Is she a cat lover too? If so train her to get maximum attention.

And why shouldn't cats post! I knew I wasn't BU but was reassured nevertheless after I posted about my ungrateful humans and picked up some useful tips.

elodie2000 · 04/12/2016 07:10

Your 'human's' DW would probably be relieved to see the back of both of you TBH !
No more cat breath & fur on clean sheets, stench of cat food in kitchen, litter trays to clean, angry neighbours flinging shit back over the fence, no more half dead 'presents' left on doorstep. No more simpering husband.
Think how happy you would make her if you both left? Do it now and make her Christmas! Xmas Smile Halo

Clandestino · 04/12/2016 07:43

You must be very youg and still craving approval. One advice from two older felines: We can NEVER be BU! We never care about what anyone else thinks. We are felines, hence always right!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 04/12/2016 07:55

Where is the OP??? That's what I want to know ... seems they've slunk away somewhere ...

InfiniteSheldon · 04/12/2016 08:23
