I was given a cheap candle by someone I worked for for over a year (grew very attached to their children and worked very hard for them, it was more of a token). The candle was probably a tenner max but still, it was a present. My flatmates and I have a collection of candles on the table but mine has been repeatedly stabbed through with a pen or something - 99% sure it was absent-minded and not deliberate - plus they didn't know it was mine and had lots of ransoms staying this week. It's still usable and I don't want to say anything to them for fear of overreacting (also it's not a problem for me to buy a replacement) but I'm so annoyed at how my property has been treated! They are not normally/ever like this though which again is why I should prob just let it go. Aibu?

That would piss me off. Why cant people just leave other peoples stuff alone? Doesn't matter what it is.

Burn their candles instead if your own!

Trifleorbust · 01/12/2016 15:16

I think I would be asking who did it and for it to be replaced. Doesn't matter if they didn't know it was yours if they knew it wasn't theirs.
