To be really anxious for my first hair cut in a year!

I don't know why but I'm really really anxious about my hair appointment this evening!
I currently have bum length hair and I'm planning on having it cut to my chest and coloured. Big change! I've had it blonde and brunette but never in my adult life, had it short.
I have 7mo twins and it gets pulled and grubby and I never have time to wash/dry and style in anymore so shorter is definitely the way, but I'm going to really miss my princess hair Sad

AIBU to feel anxious and WIBU to chicken out BlushGrin

Just seen your update, it looks great. It'll be a joy to wash and brush and will save you a fortune in conditioner Grin.
Enjoy your new swishy hair.

Hellmouth · 23/11/2016 08:47

you look amazing!

When you said short, I thought you meant really short :D

my hair is in such a bad state postbaby that I'm thinking of going from shoulder length to a TWA (teeny weeny afro) lol

GinIsIn · 23/11/2016 08:56

It looks amazing!!! And well done! I chopped and donated mine to princess trust a few years ago - I went from near waist length to chin length in one snip of the scissors, and I cannot tell a lie - I nearly cancelled twice, and I cried at the appointment but I'm so glad I did it!

PerfumeAndCatsAndBooks · 23/11/2016 09:05

Fuck your hair, your eyeliner is fab! Only joking, your hair looks gorgeous - do you feel lighter?

I went from arse length to chin length and then shaved it the following week (was losing it so very wispy and couldn't be donated which I was sad about) and it feels weird months later but goodness, how much time have I saved - it's literally given me an extra hour in the day (it used to be very thick and I used to plait it round my head).

I have used my extra hour to Mumsnet, eat choc and look at cats on the internet, I am sure with twins you'll be more productive Wink you look lovely.

WindInThePussyWillows · 23/11/2016 09:07

Ah thank you all so much for your kind comments, you're a lovely bunch!

This is really short for me!!!!

I woke up feeling like a new woman, silly as it may sound. I feel a lot lighter and very swishy. The twins haven't batted an eyelid Wink

Thanks all, again.

fenella I'm so glad you said you cried, I felt like a bit of a weirdo Grin I really wanted to take my cut off hair home with me but DH seemed to think it was "creepy".

Anyone remember the MNer with the DH who trimmed and kept his pubic hair?

gamerchick · 23/11/2016 09:13

Man you're properly bonny Grin

It's still long and looks great. Bravo for going through with it. I'll bet your head feels well light on your neck.

BorpBorpBorp · 23/11/2016 09:18
