To ask what your office temperature is?

Our thermostat has been changed recently and is now at what I consider to be an unbelievably high level. Can I ask what yours is to see if I'm being unreasonable? (I've nc'ed in case colleagues guess this is me!)

My office is 22.5C most of the time, that's during the night shift.

Today, it was 4 degrees inside when I went in. We don't have heating!

We are either freezing cold or boiling hot. It's set at 22c but today it was cold all day :(

I'm afraid I'm one of those people that's always cold. Everyone else is just right or too hot but you can be sure I'll be shivering.
So I hate the aircon going on and am usually sat with a hot water bottle and a little heater.

My colleagues like the temp to be 18 degrees!

Generally between 21c - 23c

There's two temperatures in my office - too bloody hot, OR too fucking cold.

Today is too fucking cold.

Way too hot, getting on for 30 most days. We had a thermometer which was always in the red of Too Hot so the bosses removed it.

We have had months if this battle. Our Head of department finally got sick of it and set it to 24. So too bloody hot in my opinion! Even in the depths of winter I go in to work in short sleeves! Most desks have fans so I know I'm not the only one who suffers!

This is one of the reasons I was glad to give up work and be a SAHM - I hate hot offices! Boss used to set it at 24C which I found uncomfortable in anything other than shorts and Tshirt ( not v practical for getting to work in winter though). 22 was OK. I keep my house at 20-21 which is perfect!

I've no idea but I did spend the day wrapped in a fleece blanket, because I'm a professional. Every time an assistant came in to talk to me they laughed .

But the open plan bit of the office is about 19 degrees but the varies depending on how busy it is because we open onto a student area and lots of bodies obviously makes it warmer.

Was way way overheated in ours today, about 26deg. Made me feel really not great after a few hours.

Ours got set at 28 today and I thought I was going to faint.

It was 17 in ours today. Brrrrr

Between 22-24c which suits me fine!

Anything between 10 and 30 degrees c.

Never comfortable at all

Too cold on Mondays if someone has turned the rads off over the weekend.

Usually comfortable by Tuesday afternoon.

But if interference with the radiators has not occurred then we can sit in the office on Mondays without our coats.

often 25/26 Celsius. A lot of my colleagues are 'cold'. I find it way too hot and really struggle at times but I am in the minority.

At this time of year, 18C first thing and about 27/28C in afternoon. Summer is horrific, 25C early and well over 30C by mid morning. No aircon, obviously.

The thermostat in our office is stuck somewhere between 'tropical' and 'sauna'....and one of my team still moans about feeling cold all the time while the rest of us are melting.

Incidentally in UK there's no legal limit, the temperature just has to be "reasonable" (nice unhelpful definition there!).

The advised minimum temperature is 16C or 13C if job involves physical exertion.

There is no maximum advised temperature. Unless people are fainting left right and centre, there's not a lot you can do.

The worst thing any workplace can do is give staff control of the temperature in an open office, just causes too many issues.

We don't have a thermostat, our facilities guys take control of the temperature and aim for an average and fair ~22C. They don't listen to individual preferences. If anyone complains to their line manager they get told to speak to facilities who will put a thermometer at your desk and if its over 22C you are told its okay. Eventually every accepts it.

12C in my classroom today... that's with 30 children in! And the heating turned off centrally by the LA. Wonderful.

Come on freeze tell us!

Ours is 21-22. Most people find it comfortable, one or two are too cold. No one is too hot.
