To feel sorry for teachers after looking at Facebook selling tat (lightheaded)

Like many MNers my guilty pleasure is trawling FB selling sites looking at tat, especially Christmas tat.

I can only feel sorry for the poor teachers in this country if some people really do buy the tat on offer. See photo examples. I'm not a teacher, but can I urge MNers to pretty please, if they do but their child's teacher anything, make it a bottle of bloody wine! Grin

Do teachers actually receive these things?!

My first port of call on the last day of term is the charity shop, so I can unload all the shite the kids have given me.

After almost 30 years as a teacher I've had an eclectic and eccentric collection of presents down the years. However, I associate them with the child who gave them and always write the child an appreciative thank you letter. One present given to me by a little girl when I finished for my first maternity leave of a tiger painstakingly coloured in with felt tips is still in my possession. My eldest DC is now a hulking 23 yr old!
