To buy DS his present after Christmas?

DS is 1 1/2, he will be getting a few small presents from us on Christmas morning and a rather large one from DM. Money is tight and DP is paid a few days after Christmas, would it be unreasonable to buy his Christmas present (a play kitchen) then?

YANBU. End of.

smEGGtoplasm · 16/11/2016 09:33

He won't even know the difference. So no, yanbu.

atticusclaw2 · 16/11/2016 09:34

No, he will never know the difference (and it will probably be reduced in the sale)

wescarebecausewecare · 16/11/2016 09:36

No problem with that at all!

pasturesgreen · 16/11/2016 09:38

Perfectly all right! Maybe not if he was older, but at 18 months he won't know the difference.

Floggingmolly · 16/11/2016 09:40

He's 18 months old. He doesn't even understand what Christmas is. When ds1 was three, the only thing he wanted from Santa was a big box of Frosties all to himself... Grin

TheFlounder · 16/11/2016 09:41

Thank you Smile I just know I'll get asked on Christmas Day what presents I gave to him, I didn't know if people would think I was a bit mean to buy them later.

NickyEds · 16/11/2016 09:42

Do it. He won't even realise.

harderandharder2breathe · 16/11/2016 09:53

Of course not, he won't know the difference and will probably enjoy it more not having everything at once to overwhelm him

If people ask that won't actually be there just tell them you got him a play kitchen.

RachelRagged · 16/11/2016 10:02

No OP YANBU

Princesspinkgirl · 16/11/2016 15:43

He won't know I'm due Christmas day and got baby 3 presents and she won't be here but I honestly think 3 is plenty

Ncbecauseitshard · 16/11/2016 15:50

You don't even need to buy him gifts after. Not if money is tight.
