I am standing here with my head in my hands, well my phone ATM but I am starting to feel second best to a bloody fish tank!!!

My husband loves his marine tank, and I understand it's a expensive hobbie and needs a lot of maintaince but hello, wife over here!!! Sod the fish tank and romance your bloody wife!!

If there are wife's/ partners/ girlfriend on here who's other half is totally engrossed and spends all his money on a fish tank - I feel your frustration!

My neighbour has one. He bought two new fish for it for £60, an hour later he found them on the side after they tired of life lol.

Hes forever driving to the beach to pick up fresh water for it lol

We have a huge tank in the hallway and a small tank in the living room. DH has tired of them now so it's me who looks after it.

Instead he now has 2 (huge!) ponds in the garden and the garden and extension have been designed around the ponds Hmm

Oh that's an impressive tank, I'm not surprised his obsessed!Grin

I can't help as I'm the fish&cat owner in this house but have you tried joining in with the hobby? Marine tanks are really interesting.

Has he got any tangs?Grin

I never realised fish were so time consuming or more hobby than pet until we got a couple of goldfish (who have now too tired of life). Visiting proper fish shops was a complete eye opener into the whole fishy lovers thing. In the animal scale of how much care they need fish seem to be only just below horses.

My DHs hobby is pretty obscure, to the point that naming it would out me to anyone who knows me. It's seasonal and right now we're in a lull period and I have him back, but it won't be long until it creeps back into our lives.
