How long does it take you to have a poo??

Just that really. If you are an adult without any illness or condition that could make a bowel movement troublesome, how long does it take you to have a poo??

I'd say it takes me 5 minutes at an absolute maximum but DH can take anywhere from 20 minutes to half an hour.

Usually he feels the need to go at the most inconvenient time for me, generally when I'm trying to finish cooking or plate up meals & then I have to contend with the feral toddler too.

AIBU to wonder why it takes him longer to have a poo than it takes me to commute to work??

Do people have partners who sneak off for a wank and hide it? DH practically announces it.

I've always wondered this as well. When I go I literally sit down, out it drops and bosh, all done. I can be in and out in less than a minute. DH is in for ages. If you're actually trying to push it out all that time surely there's something wrong? I would give up and go again when you actually need it. Unless you've got a bad case of the runs in which case you can be in a while...

Both (male) DP and I take about 5 minutes if that, but we don't have any DCs to hide from.

Like Gottagetmoving, I've never understood men people who go in there to read or play games, but our bathroom isn't that nice, so maybe those who loiter in there for ages have more lovely bathrooms than we do.

Kaytee I used to say that to my DH 'I birthed a baby in a quicker time than it takes you in the toilet' my waters broke and my baby was born 20 minutes later Grin he's a lot quicker when I confiscate his phone though Wink

It's not about it being nice. It's about peace and quiet. It is usually accepted that you can be on your own in the bathroom - often no other room in the house guarantees this.

I read somewhere that women wait til they need to go imminently, then go to the toilet, whereas men go to the toilet and wait for something to happen.

My four year old does this! He could be sitting there for fifteen or twenty minutes when I finally suggest he just give up and go back later when he really needs. He then doesn't need to go for hours so fuck knows why he says "I need a poo!" the first time.

He would take a book or guitar in there

What was he playing? Brick in the wall? Or anything by Lou Rawls?

YoHoHoandabottleofTequila · 14/11/2016 20:07

About five minutes. If I need to go I go. DH spends about 20 minutes on the toilet, he just waits. I don't get it.

I'm the same as Gardencentregroupie the minute I know I need to go it's a run to the toilet.
3rd degree tear after ds3.
Dh can be in there for about half an hour
