To wish I hadn't poked my bloody tongue out

So to preempt any questions, yes I overthink, yes I have anxiety issues, yes I'm fixing it and yes I need to work on my social skills!

So... the former partner of a potential new friend was taking my phone number to arrange a play date and suddenly points phone at me to take photo. Taken by surprise and because I hate photos I immediately pulled a face and poked my tongue out at him. I was mortified am cringing now.

Fuck knows what I was thinking but it was not remotely flirty.

They still live together. She is going to be Hmm isn't she? Not that it will look like anything other than an embarrassing middle aged woman.

Am I over thinking or does this sound as cringey as it felt. Can I text him and ask him to delete it or will that seem weird?

I've just read my post back. I don't even know what I was trying to say ... ^

Ah don't worry about it. I struggle to find a photo of my DH where his tongue isn't stuck out. He hates his photo taken too and acts goofy to mask his discomfort.

ohsuchanidiot · 14/11/2016 17:39

Violet, I did try and guess the missing words but couldn't!

Bloody hope he wasn't flirting. That's a whole new level of anxiety (I'm not planning on ever!!)

Worrying about sticking your tongue out is BU, unless you added the two finger vagina licking mime. As for everyone getting uppity over someone taking a picture, get over yourself. Most of you aren't works of art and a picture isn't a slice of your soul.

ohsuchanidiot · 14/11/2016 19:00

eww InSheen, thanks for that!

I am a fucking work of art insheen, how very dare you.

I still think it's normal to not want randos taking pictures of you to have on their phone. Couldn't give less of a shit if you disagree.

I don't care if you disagree. i don't know about work of art but piece of work about sums it up.

The guy was simply taking a picture to go against you as a contact so he can remember who the heck you are - why is beyond me.

HelenaGWells · 03/01/2017 18:44

TBH if someone took a photo of me in that circumstance I wouldn't have been as polite. Swears would have been involved. I do NOT like having my photo taken and would definitely let you know.

If you want to take a photo for your phone bloody well ask "do you mind if I snap a quick photo to go with the number, I find it easier" I find it incredibly rude to just randomly take someone's photo.

HelenaGWells · 03/01/2017 18:48

I remember people with that really old fashioned method of using their name. If it's a parent of my kids friends I type in X's mum/dad/gran as the middle name so it comes up as Jane Evie's mum Smith or whatever.

Haha did InSheen really just come back to a 2 month old thread to have a pop?

ohsuchanidiot · 03/01/2017 19:14

Yep I think so! Not sure what to say. Bit strange. Confused
