I just wanted to say a huge thank you to MNers for their help and advice on my post yesterday which got picked up by DM - about unreasonable D H and public car humiliation . You were a huge, huge support. There isn't really anyone I can confide in in RL, so I am really thankful.

They generally use it to fill up their shitty website, unless it's really juicy. They rarely make it to their wankrag of a printed paper. (I really must go back to my usual username when I'm ranty.)

THey do it to fill up the website with 'new' content, and they can, because even though MN owns the copyright to anything published here, as long as a newspaper is only using small portions of text and quotes its source, thats legit use of copyrighted material.

They don't pinch stuff because we're arsey; they're churnalists and have to fill all that shite somehow.

Of course you can't copyright your threads. You're not writing copy, you're putting personal stuff on the world wide web.

They are arses of the highest order. No thought about endangering vulnerable women by sharing their stories to a broader audience than they intended. I know it's not illegal but it is immoral. This is (was) a safe space for many. Bloody daily fail drives a coach and horses through that with their lazy churnalism. Only solution I can think of is to choose less well known boards to post on AIBU is easy pickings.
