Apologies - I know there have been threads about this before but I am still concerned. I have recently made friends with a few of the Mums from school and a few of them seem to be doing very well with what appears to be 'Forever Living'. In the past I have simply dismissed posts on FB about FL as being a kind of pyramid scheme and too good to be true. But, after reading a couple of these Mum's FB business pages it appears as though they seem to be doing quite well from this? Dropping down days at their 'regular' jobs and paying for their family holidays actually. So, I suppose my question is this - what exactly is Forever Living and AIBU to still be so skeptical about it?!

There is a mum at my daughters school who sells FL.
I used to like her and even bought a FL lipstick about a year ago but it all changed 3 weeks ago.

I had a great one on my Facebook who sold juice plus and forever banged on about how amazing and inspiring her new life was. Then one day she went tonto and wrote a big para about how it was a load of shite and she was fed up and skint. A great day for all concerned.

I know one person who has done well but she got in at the start, you are a couple of years too late. She is on a new scheme now.

Woman i know has done them all started with juicing gunk through to forever living with make up natural pain relief in between she must have spent 100s on kits she spammed facebook walls she was doing so well she needed new managers reality was she sold bugger all and was skint. I hate how these companies pray on women to annoy and pester other women.

Credit, mostly. For a year after joining you are deluged with information about how much other people are making, how your money will start rolling in soon if you're expecting it too, if you're failing it's your own fault. So they act like they are rich to make it "come true", and try to sucker friends and acquaintances to join up - who think they'll get rich too, and do the same, and the original person gets a little bit of real money for signing someone up or selling some products, so they can then convince themselves that it's starting, they'll be rich any minute.

When people finally leave; they are usually drowning in debt, and feel like they've failed - so they don't talk about it, and the pattern continues.

Its just sad making people so insecure and feeling like failures.

Woman i knew gave me a book to look at was for mineral make up i said there was nothing i fancied it was a bit expensive. She snatched the book away and said i dunno why i bothered you are wasting my time , they turn perfectly ordinary women into absolute nutters

Whole thing is frightening. There should definitely be some regulation/ ban on this.
