DD , nearly 4yo has asked/begged/demanded a peppa pig bike for Christmas since end of June time.
It'll be her first bike and we're really excited to get it for her and to see her face on Christmas morning.
The issue is that the bike description says its 12inches.
I drive a 2011 Nissan Micra, boot isn't the biggest.
Have two car seats in the back so seats down isn't an option. Also have a pushchair for DS but that folds down fairly small so I could put it in front seat/passengers lap if I had to.
Has anyone got a similar sized car and managed to fit this size bike in the boot? I asked Halfords and they said there is no bike rack small enough.
HELP

It does seem tiny for a 4 year old, who will presumably grow between now and Xmas and actually not use the bike much until the summer? Do they have the Same bike bigger? I would be looking at 14-16''

As an idea, my average 5 year old has been on his 16'' bike since last Christmas when he was 4 1/2. If anything it's getting a bit small and he could do with a 20'' by next spring.

OP, I see you've got it sorted, but I was just coming on to say that this is the most insanely melodramatic title for a thread which was essentially 'Will a 12-inch Peppa Pig bike fit in a Nissan Micra boot?' Grin

The my 5.5 yos are on 12inch wheels and they've just grown into them.

Good news Parrot.
I love it when a plan comes together. (Can't remember what film that line comes from)
Especially when it involves kids and Xmas.

We had a Nissan Micra for 3 years. Got my son's bike in the back no problem. The only thing we struggled to fit in was my then 15 yo and his mate!
We have an estate now!

I was most definitely not being melodramatic. This thread is about so much more than whether the bike would fit,. .. Actually, it's a Christmas miracle thread now 🎄 Grin

OP I do agree with others that this bike won't last your DD long however at that age a 12inch will be light enough for her to manage and she will get enjoyment out of it even if not for a great length of time. Just as a tip for when she is bigger, a 12inch is a good size to take the wheels off and use as a balance bike for when learning to ride without stabilisers.

Glad you got it sorted

Mine is 4 in March and would still need a 12" bike. She's a small enough for it

But after saying she wants a bike for over a month, she wanted a scooter on Monday and now a giant NooNoo today

Wish she would make her mind up
