To get pissed off that DH leaves the keys in the door?

When I'm not in the house and DH is, he locks the front door (ie from the inside) and leaves the keys in the lock. This means that when I get home I can't unlock the door and have to ring the door bell for him to come unlock it for me. Some times I have to wait a while as he's having a snooze and doesn't hear the bell. I know it's a small thing but it drives me mad! How hard it is to pull the keys out of the lock so I can get in? No matter how many times I complain, he still does it.

What sort of locks do you all have? I have never locked my door from the inside, just pull the handle up. Am I doing it wrong!?!?!

I have a door where you have to pull the handle up to lock it, but you do have to turn the key. Pulling the handle up doesn't lock it.

Please keep keys in a less obvious place preferably upstairs if you have stairs

See, PCSO advised us against this too. Said the last thing you want is the type of person who'd break into your house not finding the goods downstairs and coming upstairs to look for them where you're all sleeping.

Same as mine the from the sound of it OP. I don't lock it when I'm home, I lock it going out, but not if there's anyone in. It's only openable with the handle from the inside so no one's opening the door without a key from the outside.

Wouldn't like to lock it when I'm in, I'd be more worried at not being able to get out if there was a fire (fire being something I'm paranoid of!)
