Is this normal? People are posting seemingly anonymous threads on her then they are ending up on mailonline?

annandale it is up to search engines to decide whether to respect to request not to index a page, the major ones do but it's not impossible.

Flylittlebirdpdq if it makes you feel better google tailors your search result to what it thinks you want to see, it's probably different for others.

And MN & DM probably check their analytics with glee when they see the traffic they generate for each other

Fly of course if you didn't upload it it wouldn't be there but MN as a site gave optimised the image so that it ranks highly on the search (assuming no other site stole it)

Please don't be fooled by Off The Beaten Track, either.

It's not Googleable, but any journo worth their salt will go straight there.

It's not private. And nor is anything else that you post here. Why would it be?! It's a public forum.

Agree with MrsDV. I posted at the time when the Fail lifted the thread by the bereaved poster and her still subscribing to groups etc, as a way of dealing with her grief.

Nobody seemed that bothered. I think it's pretty shit TBH and I have no fucking time at all for a 'journalist' who thinks that it's acceptable lifting something so intensely personal without so much as a thought to what it might mean to the poster.

I think there are a lot of posters on here now who are a bit more guarded and undertake regular NC.
