Justin F***ing Fletcher

AIBU to switch the TV off every time his smug f*ing face appears, even though DC seems to love him?

Justin's house, Mr Tumble, Gigglewhatevers and just when you think it is safe, he appears singing happy birthday. Enough already, Fletcher! Take your spotty bag and Foxtrot Oscar!

eatdrink

Nooooo don't remind us Grin

He is precisely the reason ceebeebies etc is banned in my house.

They are all overly happy inane gurning twats.

So much so I wonder if the auditions require them to turn up with a hangover and see how long they can fake it for.

Bet they go home and swear til their husnamds/wives ears bleed just to relieve the tension

I freaking love Justin. Both my DCs have gone through Something Special mad stages. And YY to Lord Tumble being posh and dirty.

Hey Duggee gets my goat a bit - trying a bit too hard to be cool. It's kids' TV FFS!

YANBU. Can't stand the self obsessed, gurning twat. He definitely has something on someone at the BBC. He also does the 'voices' in fucking Timmy Time, I always knew that lamb was a little prick.

He loves himself, he has invented as many characters as possible just to give himself a stage to prat about. He should just use a mirror. If he could shag himself, he would. Oh and it's also used as a platform to piss about in dresses. If that's what floats his boat then crack on, but we don't all need to see him doing it.

I always liked Something Special.
But JF turns up on every damn thing! His gurning irritates the crap out of me.
As for Justins House - well does anyone else want to help me capture and reprogram Robert the Robot? He could be the new Terminator....
Also JF voices Shaun the Sheep. Really passed me off when I found that out. Is there some sort of law that he has to be in every single kids TV programme nowadays?

peace Do you mean Sid the one who is on that awful lets play programme, with the eternally irritating as a dose of thrush Rebecca?

If so he was on a few hours ago.

Also not a fan of Justin, he makes me shudder, and I was most disappointed to discover Robert the Robot looks better with his silver make up. I thought he'd be a bit of a looker underneath it, but no, not so much.

Yes me but he doesn't do general presenting anymore Sad

Aw I loved Jake and Timmy. Fair play.
As for fucking Justin Fletcher, there was that fifty shade of tumble thread. Wonder what happened to the tumble tarts? Grin

I've met Sids brother. Nice chap.
Don't mind Justin that much but I wouldn't mind if he weren't on so much. We are fans of Duggee, Go Jetters and Show me, Show me, here.
Agree about that bloody Rebecca though, she irritates the hell out of me. Her grin is so inane, like nails on a blackboard. They stole the idea for Lets Play from the 80's version Lets Pretended, which I think was superior. No irritating computer graphics.

ImSoVeryTired · 26/10/2016 19:29

Speaking of computer graphics, am I the only one who thinks Peter Rabbit is a travesty? The animation is horrible and the stories are so far removed from the original, I'm surprised they allowed it. Plus rabbits are not fucking brave, the are scared and run away so they don't get eaten! Grrr.

This thread is extremely vitriolic. Nasty.

The BBC and infact all tv channels are guilty of this - over exposure of a particular presenter/actor to the point where the public get heartily sick of them.

They did it with Carol Vorderman, Tony Slattery and I personally think Olivia Coleman - and so on and so on.

It shows a lack of imagination on the part of the programme makers.

He is indeed the voice of Shaun the Sheep. He was quite funny about the audition, he was asked to make the sound of a sheep dragged across the lawn with a lawnmower (Aardman display @Bristol I think I saw that).

Lord Tumble is definitely the best of the Tumble bunch.

I've come to the conclusion after almost 6yrs that I hate cbeebies, all of it.

Oh and don't get me started on fucking Tiny Pop, Timothy (the moany little get) goes to school, and Milly Molly.

Then theres that friggin awful, nasally Australian shite with Jason Donovan. Urgh.

PickAChew · 26/10/2016 19:35

He's Sean the Sheep, too.

DD has liked different things he's done at different ages, she's 6 now and loves Gigglebiz, she's always liked Justin's House (proper slapstick, of which we had loads when we were kids, is very thin on the ground these days) and like Something Special when she was little.

I find it utterly bizarre to ban your DC from watching kids TV because you don't like a presenter. It's not aimed at you!!!

Aw I love Justin!! How can you dislike him?? But then I bet all the Justin haters can't get enough of Topsy & Tim, and are exactly like their mother Hmm NOTHING more irritating than the smug Topsy & Tim clan.

I love him! I always thought he was great. I'm dreading the day the inevitable sex scandal comes out.

Has there been an Olivia Coleman backlash bibbety? Shock I thought she had achieved National Treasure Status. I only know Tony Slattery from that improv show WLIIA? Liked him on that. I have nothing against a bit of rough and Tumble (sorry, I didn't join in on that thread and feel I missed out).
But you are right that there is truth in Familiarity breeding contempt/Tall Poppy Syndrome/ubiquity being deemed as a bad thing. James Corden springs to mind too (although he did admit to hitting Peak Divadom for a while).
I am guilty of slab twaddle but save my vitriol for those that deserve it not celebrities...although will happily take the piss out of A listers to Z listers who, I am sure, speak very highly of me. Halloween Wink

Oh god, smug Justin with his mirthless laugh. I can't bear him. But my DD uses Makaton so I tolerate him for the greater good. Just.
