To record him snoring

Thought I'd record how loud he snores and let him listen to it so he can appreciate how loud it is and do something about it.
He looked a bit hurt when I told him I'd recorded him and emailed it to him. I suggested maybe trying some nose strips.
He said it didn't sound that bad.
I told him to turn up the volume and put his ear closer to the speaker.
He's apologised for waking me up again and us looking a bit sheepish about it.
Have I been a bitch or am I justified in doing this?

Just wake him up fully every time he wakes you up. Enough nights of disturbing HIS sleep and I bet he will be willing to seek a solution.

My upstairs and downstairs neighbour's were both prolific snorers. In the summer with open windows it was awful but I accepted it as one of those "flat" things.

About 9 months back my upstairs neighbour went on a sleep study, was diagnosed with sleep apnea and is now on a bipap machine.

Downstairs neighbour's wife was so impressed that she got her DH checked out and now my nights are silent!!!

Better sleep coincided with me falling pregnant too... in a couple of months my poor neighbour's are going to have a whole new nighttime noise!

I sympathise - my DP is an epic snorer. I can't sleep in the same room, even with earplugs. His GP told him to lose weight, stop smoking and cut down on booze (which will help with the weight loss) and nearly a year on he has done absolutely none of those things. He gets sulky when I sleep in the spare room, but refuses to do anything about his snoring and even sulkier when I remind him what the GP advised him to do. He sounds like he's struggling to breathe in and also gets very sweaty around his neck/back, which makes me think he has sleep apnea, but he won't do anything about it which is a bit of a worry.
