To ask if you've had botox/fillers?

One of my friends is going next week to have botox and also her lips done
I'm a bit sceptical of botox and fillers ....I wanted to ask if anyone has had this done and had any bad effects?

I find this very difficult to have an opinion on. I am not that old yet - mid thirties - and at the moment I am in the no camp. I don't know how I'll feel when the ageing really starts to happen though. I just look at Courtney Cox, who is clearly not short of money and hasn't done it on the cheap, and think no no no, ageing gracefully is better.

Such a good point littlepeas. People like Madonna and Courtney Cox have all the money and all the contacts and they still end up looking a bit odd and melted.

But then there are people like Cristie Brinkley and Jane Seymour who look incredible. I don't think that having lots of money automatically allows you to make the best choices re surgeons, and of course, some clients want an exaggerated plastic look.

Jane Seymour looks fantastic but I think that's because she's been very conservative with her cosmetic enhancements. She hasn't been afraid to leave a few crows' feet or a few forehead lines. It's when people aim for absolute youth that it goes badly wrong.

Completely agree. The doctor I see refuses to Botox horizontal forehead lines, and only uses tiny amounts of filler in the cheeks, and only a fifth to half a syringe of Restylane in the lips. But then there are other doctors in NYC who go hell for leather with obliterating every line and wrinkle, even though they are considered some of the best in the business.
