Teacher at DDs school has refused to answer questions? AIBU to think this is going against a huge part of what the teacher does?

Could it have been an assessment?

The ones that do me in are the ones where a students will ask as a questions exactly what I have just told the class.

I give them a look ask them to ask someone in the class who's actually listening.

Eventually, I can get the whole class to whirl about and give death stares to anyone who does this. Sometimes they'll snarl: "Miss just said it!" :o

BossWitch you have summed up most Yr 7 lessons till October half term!!

Enough to send you over the edge somedays!!

I have also rationed questions, in some lessons I will make them ask each other for support and help as it aids the learning - normally revision lessons.

Echt I also love it when the students respond 'she just said that'!

Got to love teaching Yr 7!

There is a reason why most teachers don't ask "Does anyone have any questions?"

::Hand shoots up::
"Yes Johnny?"
"My neighbour got a new car yesterday and it's purple and it has black wheels and then Sally got a white bunny and I'm going to the beach on Saturday...."
