Looking after DD

So I took DS out to a party and DH was to look after DD (2).

I arrived home to find DH asleep in bed and DD in her room with the iPad. Stair gate shut so she couldn't get to the bath room or potty.

AIBU to be pissed off and think this was not how to look after her properly.

I'd be livid...absolutely livid. It would make me question how safe our children were with him

It would make me think that looking after his child meant merely the utter basics to him - that she is not in danger. (Although this is highly debatable!) Absolutely fine to ignore her, just sodding off to bed for a nap?!

I am pretty calm, usually, but I would be appalled that DH did this, as it would make me question what he did all those other times...it's just sad.

I would be so angry. Imagine if social services found out he locked your toddler in a room with no access to a toilet so he could have a nap? Also, does the iPad have appropriate resctirctions? It's not difficult for young children to find things that are inappropriate for them. I let DD watch YouTube on my phone recently and within minutes she was deeply engrossed in a cookery programme. Not exactly offensive but I had set it on surprise eggs so it must have only taken a few taps to find something completely different!
