£115 for a rickety wendy house !! and £75 for a sheet !?!?!

AND the quote unquote wendy house requires self assembly!!! for that price they should deliver it, build it, provide an afternoon's childcare together with NEW 100% fruit Fruit Shoots and a chilled bottle of Chardonnay with bowls of stuffed olives and smoked almonds

stupidly overpriced IMO!

KTeePee · 08/02/2007 14:18

I have been bit at some of their prices lately, eg £30 for

this

basically a piece of plastic

KaySamuels · 09/02/2007 09:44

I was shocked at that tippee too, am quite disappointed with their new book the only stuff that I think is reasonably priced and that I would buy my son was in the last book.
Except for dinoworld that looks good my neice got fairy world for xmas and its lovely.

Hulababy · 09/02/2007 09:47

Have to say that the Happy Land stuff from ELC is all great value stuff though. Very playable, string, sturdy and hard wearing, hours of imaginative fun - and very good resale value too.

Friend's DS has the planet protectors things. I didn't think they were that badly priced - not compared to the canvas tent things!

hana · 09/02/2007 09:49

wasn't impressed with the front cover of their latest catalogue either
you wouldn't get that elsewhere

Sheraz · 09/02/2007 09:59

I thought planet protectors stuff was ok value. DS2 had it for Xmas, really chunky and he plays with it a lot. But the teepee - outrageous. Too girly as well a lot of the stuff.

NorksBride · 09/02/2007 10:16

I think they're trying to compete with GLTC/Letterbox etc.

£500 for a pirate ship? It has no slide and very limited climbing. I don't know what it's point is? I could certainly build a bottomless boat for less than half that price including real brass portholes. You could probably buy an old wooden rowing boat for less money as well.

Love Happyland though.

charliecat · 09/02/2007 10:17

£75 for a sheet. OMG...

KTeePee · 09/02/2007 11:12

My sisters are buying ds2 some of those planet protectors for his birthday - that will save me a fortune

NbgsYellowFeathers · 09/02/2007 11:18

The £75 sheet is out of stock though. Perhaps it has sold out already since it is so popular?

WigWamBam · 09/02/2007 16:02

£75 for a sheet? And it's out of stock, so some pillocks have been taken in!

JoPG · 09/02/2007 16:10

Am off to ebay to see how much I can get for a couple of old king size sheets. I am going to be rich, rich I tell you!

merrily · 09/02/2007 16:23

Yes I've looked at the storage, tables and chairs recently and they are vv overpriced too.

They are always doing 20% off promotions, so I reckon they price everything up accordingly. Still expensive though even with the discount!
