To be cross with the parents who park over our drive

We live opposite a private Catholic co-ed school. It seems like an ok school from what i have read. There is a main entrance on a main road, but there's a back entrance opposite our house. Every morning between 7.30 and 8.45 there is a continuous series of cars that stop over our drive to let their kids out, blocking the path, and almost continuous traffic up our road.. Then there are others who at 3pm park over our driveway for 10 or 15 minutes while they go in and do whatever and we can't get into our drive. I emailed the school about this last year and got a very nice reply that they would ask parents to be more considerate, but nothing has changed. I walk my kids to school each morning. I know everyone can't, but am pissed off with the traffic in my residential road because of this school, It's a small street. I don't want my 4yo to be smacked in the head by a Range Rover door opening, like he was this morning. Yes, I know I will get biscuits for this, but FFS it pisses me off.

Complain to the school again and let them know that your ds was hurt and he was lucky that he wasn't more badly injured as he easily could have been.

Ask them to put a not so polite notice in their newsletter and on the front page of their website to say that selfish parking is getting ridiculous, that one local child has already been injured, many have just escaped being injured and they are worried that more children could be badly injured in the near future unless people park legally and safely which they are not doing at the moment.

Then ask them to run some sessions with their students to see if they can come up with any suggestions of how they can get their parents to stop parking illegally and dangerously, and things that they can do to help (looking before opening doors would be a start!). Getting them to design a poster for you and others in the same predicament to paste/stick with vaseline on cars parking illegally would be another good activity.

If the school aren't prepared to run these sort of workshops then they're not really that bothered about helping to sort out the issue.

Our local paper prints pictures of badly parked cars so might be worth seeing if yours does that.

Contacting your local pcso and saying there is a constant stream of illegally parked cars over your driveway, please could they come and and slap fines on them all and boost their figures for doing stuff and you're happy to provide a cup of tea if it's cold is another thing to try.

Good luck!
